Victor A. Orindi
Victor A. OrindiCo-ordinator

Victor A. Orindi works as the Coordinator of Adaptation Consortium. He has researched and published on mainstreaming climate change in planning, monitoring and evaluation of climate adaptation, and climate finance.

He holds a Masters and Bachelor degrees in Environmental Science from Kenyatta University.

He previously worked as a Climate Change Advisor with the then Ministry of State for Development of Northern Kenya & Other Arid Lands; Research Officer with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Research Fellow with the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) and Lecturer in the School of Environmental Studies, Kenyatta University.

He Served as Task Force member that guided the development of the Kenya National Climate Change Action Plan 2013-2017; chaired the Adaptation Thematic Working Group that developed the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) 2015-2030 and contributed to the UNDP 2007/2008 Human Development Report- Fighting Climate Change: Human Solidarity in a Divided World.

Mumina Bonaya
Mumina BonayaProgramme Oficer

Mumina Bonaya is a development worker and a public servant, currently pursuing her M.A in Gender and Development studies at the University of Nairobi.

She currently works as Programme officer at Adaptation Consortium. Mumina’s role is to provide support to the five counties of Isiolo, Kitui, Makueni, Wajir and Garissa in setting up and operationalising CCCF in readiness for climate finance.

Prior to joining ADA, Mumina worked as National Coordinator for Foundation for Pastoralist Women (FPW), responsible for day to day running of the institution that advocates and advances Gender Equality and Women Empowerment in the eleven (11) ASAL Counties of Kenya.

Mumina also chaired the Advisory Board of Women Enterprise Fund (WEF), government of Kenya’s affirmative fund that exist to provide accessible and affordable credit/loan to support women start and/or expand business for wealth and employment creation. Her experience and passion to serve special groups (Women,Youth and PWD) continue to shape up her leadership skills and strong conviction to see empowered community and equality at all levels.

Jane Kiiru
Jane Kiiru Communications Officer

Jane Kiiru has over seven years of experience in the nonprofit sector and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Language and Communications from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Information Science from the Kenya School of Professional Studies. She is currently the Communications Officer at the Adaptation Consortium, in charge of management and implementation of the communications and engagement strategy and media relations.

Prior to joining the Adaptation Consortium, Jane worked for Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung (DSW) as a Communications and Resource Mobilization Officer; InsideNGO (USA) as a Fellow, Foundation for Kenya Pastoralist Women as a Programme Officer and Transparency International Kenya as a Deputy Programme Officer in charge of the Resource Center.

Jane has also set up fully- functional libraries for Save the Children Sweden and Water Service Trust Fund. Through her experiences, Jane has acquired skills in coordination, networking, mobilization, and strategic planning skills. She has a keen interest in human rights especially women and children's rights, gender equality, and social justice.

Kimberly Asawo
Kimberly AsawoFinance and Administration Assistant

Kimberly Asawo is a Finance and Administration Assistant at Adaptation Consortium. She has over two years of experience in consultancy services.

She holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi (UON) where she is currently undertaking a master’s degree in the school of Economics. She has also undertaken training in data packages in the same university. She holds a certificate in Information Technology (IT) from Cornerstone Training Institute.

She previously worked as a Finance Assistant and Assistant Economist at Design Masterplan Limited being involved in both technical and administrative assignments. She was also a management Intern at Palette Consulting.

Through her work experience she has acquired research and analytical skills, administrative and organizational skills, communication skills among other social skills.
